Arvil E. Russell Jr. 66 – died peacefully October 22th, 2018 surrounded by family.  Those who were touched by him understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. He was born January 9th 1952 to Ivah E. and Arvil E. Russell Sr.  Both parents preceded him in death. Arvil graduated from Central High School.  He attended the University of Missouri- Kansas City until his senior year when he accepted a position with the Union Pacific Railroad where he retired. Arvil gave his life to Christ and became a member of Ward Chapel AME Church at an early age.  He is a child of God.  Arvil loved company, hanging with family and friends, and talking about the good old days.  Arvil could tell a story.  Arvil loved the ladies and the ladies loved Arvil. He leaves to cherish his memories a beautiful daughter Jacinta Sigars; two sisters Taresa and A. Lee Russell-Alexander; three brothers William, Leonard, and Rodney Russell; four grand-children Donnell, Keturah, Eric, Sariyah; nieces, nephews and a host of loving relatives and friends. Religious Services was held Saturday November 3, 2018 at Ward Chapel AME Church 2126 Prospect Kansas City, Missouri. Visitation will be from 10am to 11am; services at 11am. Interment Twelves Gates Memorial Gardens.
